What parts do these cleaning and maintenance kits contain?
Cleaning kits contain different elements for pool maintenance depending on the model chosen. Below we detail the most common cleaning and maintenance elements found in the cleaning kits available on the market.
Leaf net
Leaf nets allow cleaning of debris both on the surface and at the bottom of the pool. There are many different models in terms of shape and net type for collecting waste, but in general we can say it is an essential pool cleaning tool for keeping the water free of leaves and other elements that settle in the water.
Venturi-type pool cleaner
Venturi-type pool cleaners are manual cleaners consisting of three parts: the pole or telescopic handle, the cleaning head and a mesh bag for collecting debris. It is an effective and easy-to-use cleaning tool for keeping the pool bottom clean.
Its operation is very simple — you just need to connect it to a garden hose, and the water pressure will generate a current capable of drawing in dirt stuck to the pool bottom and depositing it in the mesh bag of the cleaner itself.
Telescopic handle
To be able to reach all corners of the pool, we use a pole or telescopic handle. These extenders attach to any of the cleaning elements we have and make the job easier as we can effortlessly reach the deepest and/or most inaccessible areas of the pool.
Sponge for cleaning the waterline
One of the areas that accumulates the most dirt is the pool's waterline. To keep it clean we use a regular sponge. We recommend that waterline cleaning with the sponge be carried out periodically, as accumulated dirt in that area, if left too long, can be difficult to remove and may leave marks on the pool surface.
Thermometer
Water temperature is important for better controlling the pH or chlorine levels in our pool, or for knowing the water temperature when using any climate control system. Pool thermometers are small floating accessories that display the water temperature in degrees Celsius on a scale.
Chlorine dispenser
A floating chlorine dispenser automatically doses chlorine. You just need to insert the appropriate chlorine tablets and adjust the opening of the dispenser so that it dissolves correctly in the pool water.
pH and chlorine tester
pH and chlorine testers are important for avoiding physical harm to swimmers. We must regularly check these levels with these analyzers and their corresponding reagents to avoid issues such as skin or eye redness, skin irritation, etc.
Skimmer
As a general rule, all pools have their own skimmer, but some pool cleaning and maintenance kits include detachable skimmers in case our pool does not have one. The skimmer will filter the water and assist in passive pool cleaning.
Which kit is most appropriate for your pool?
Depending on the size of our pool, we will choose one cleaning kit or another. In our online store you can buy cleaning kits for all types of pools, with different cleaning elements and accessories to suit your needs.
Above-ground or small pools
Cleaning kits for above-ground pools typically include elements such as leaf nets or venturi-type cleaners, chlorine dosing elements and manual cleaning accessories such as sponges or brushes.
Medium-sized pools
Cleaning kits for medium-sized pools, in addition to what was mentioned for small pools, commonly include poles or telescopic handles to extend the reach of elements such as leaf nets or brushes.
Large pools
In large pools, due to their size, manual cleaners are not usually the most cost-effective option. However, there are cleaning kits that instead of this type of manual cleaning accessories include items such as pH analyzers, chlorine analyzers, dispensers, etc.
